Are the tours suitable for children?

There is no legal age-restriction on any of our tours, but we would ask parents to remember that they are designed to terrify people and are, at times, quite gruesome. Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult, and we would suggest the tours are suitable for 12+

What should I expect?

The tours are guided by actors who take you around the venue, tell you some dark sinister tales from history and lead you to some areas of the venue where other actors will re-enact some bloody scenes from history. Special effects, lighting, strobes (at some venues), smoke machines and music are used to create an atmosphere. Apart from this, we’re not telling you what happens...it will spoil the shock.

What if I have a medical condition or I’m pregnant?

Once again, we do not have any particular restrictions on the tours – but we do ask you to remember that strobe lighting may be used along with smoke machines and horror effects. If you are epileptic or have a heart condition, please consider whether this entertainment is suitable for you. Most of all remember: WE AIM TO SCARE YOU! Loud noises, sudden movements etc are used to intensify the atmosphere.

Are the tours outside? What should I wear?

Our tours are outside and inside (so don’t worry if it’s raining, most of it is undercover), but please remember that the inside places are often damp and unheated; sensible footwear and warm/waterproof clothing are recommended.

If I’m too scared to continue, will I get my money back?

On all of our tours, our horror guides will introduce you to the venue and tell you a bit about what’s going to happen. At this point they will offer you the opportunity to turn back and get a full refund. If you decide to continue beyond this point and become too scared, you will not be allowed even a partial refund. You may turn back at any time and one of the venue guides will return you to safety.

Can I take photos/video?

We ask you not to use flash photography, as much of the tour has atmospheric lighting which has taken us a long time to design – and the big flashy cameras ruin it for everyone! Non-flash photography is permitted. Video of any kind is prohibited.
